MARIANA KLAVENO- the American actress and star of the hit HBO vampire drama 'True Blood', confirmed her engagement to producer boyfriend LUIS PATINO on her Twitter page yesterday 26th October 2010.

Klaveno told her Twitter followers, "Sorry I've been out of touch for a few days - been busy getting engaged!!!" The actress played 'Lorena' in the GOLDEN GLOBE winning series and her character was responsible for turning 'Bill Compton', played by STEVEN MOYER, into a vampire. The actress is the second 'True Blood' cast member to announce their engagement this month, JOE MANGANIELLO recently popped the question to his girlfriend, the actress AUDRA MARIE, while on vacation in Italy

She appeared in the fifth episode of season one as the vampire Lorena, who turned Bill Compton into a vampire. Her character became a regular with starring credits in the second half of season two.

She was nominated with the starring cast for the "Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series" at the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild awards in January 2010.

She and her costar were awarded the "Holy Shit Scene" award at the Spike 2010 Scream awards for their scene in season three where Bill turns Lorena's head around 180 degrees while having sex
